About the Role
CanStaff Employment Services is proud to assist a legacy company established in 1922, in finding a dedicated Payroll Specialist/Bookkeeper. Known for its reliability and trust within the industry, this company offers the opportunity to work closely with a small, collaborative team of three professionals.
In this on-site role, you’ll manage payroll for over 100 employees across two states, ensuring precision and compliance in all reporting. Beyond payroll, you’ll have the chance to contribute to general bookkeeping and support office administration as needed. Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Process payroll for 100+ employees across multiple states with precision and timeliness.
Maintain compliance with state and federal payroll regulations.
Generate accurate payroll reports and assist with audits as needed.
Use QuickBooks to manage financial records and reconcile accounts.
Support bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable/receivable, as required.
Provide administrative support to the office team when necessary.
Qualifications:
College degree or 3-5 years of payroll/bookkeeping experience.
Proficiency in QuickBooks and payroll processing for multi-state employees.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in reporting.
Proven ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Exceptional reliability and organizational skills.
